Frequently Asked Questions

Where are we located?

4474 Wentworth Rd, South Range, WI 54874

We are located 10 miles southeast of Superior, WI, off of Highway 2, at Wentworth Gardens. Head east on Highway 2 for approximately 10 minutes, and you’ll find us on your left, within Wentworth Gardens.

Are you open to the public so we can see the flower fields?

Our U-pick field and Farm Market building are open to the public. There’s a $5 fee to wander the flower fields during U-pick hours. Feel free to take photos and tag us—we’d love to see your memories!

Please note, photos are not allowed in other areas or inside the greenhouses, as the farm shares space with another business. We ask that you respect their space.

Can we take family photos on the farm?

Yes, you can take family photos on the farm, but photo sessions are only allowed from July to October. The only public area open for photos is our U-pick field. Since the fields aren't planted until May, they won't be full enough for photos until July.

We charge $75 per hour for photo sessions, which can be scheduled online.

If you're a photographer looking to book a session, please email us.

How can I buy flowers or other items?

You can purchase flowers, fresh vegetables, and other items directly from our Farm Market building. Our market is open from July to October, offering a variety of seasonal products for sale.

Can I order flowers for private events or a baby/bridal shower?

Yes, we would love to help provide flowers for your next event! Our bulk buckets are a great option for those looking for fresh, local blooms while arranging them yourself. These bulk buckets are available from mid-July to the end of September. Due to the unpredictable nature of weather, we may not be able to accommodate all requests, so we recommend checking availability ahead of time. For more details, visit our Party Bucket page.

How can I get the longest vase life out of my flowers?

Here are 8 tips to help extend the vase life of your flowers:

  1. Start with a clean vase: Wash your vase with hot, soapy water after each use. A small amount of bleach in your buckets can kill bacteria that could shorten the life of your flowers.

  2. Strip leaves below the waterline: Removing leaves from the stems ensures they don't fall into the water, preventing bacterial growth that can clog the stems.

  3. Cut stems at a 45-degree angle: Use a clean, sharp knife or scissors to avoid crushing the stems. A sharp tool ensures the stems can absorb water properly.

  4. Change the water every 2-3 days: For flowers like Sunflowers and Zinnias, which shed small hairs into the water, use CVB tablets or a 10-1 bleach solution to reduce bacteria growth. When the water turns cloudy, it's time to change it.

  5. Give stems a fresh cut when changing the water: This promotes hydration and allows the flowers to stay fresh longer.

  6. Remove dead flowers or petals: Keep your arrangement looking fresh by removing wilting flowers and petals. A simple fresh cut and cleaning out compost flowers can revive the bouquet.

  7. Keep flowers away from fruit and sunlight: Ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, which can cause wilting and petal drop. Direct sunlight also speeds up the fading process.

  8. DIY flower food: If you're curious about making flower food, try mixing 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 2 tablespoons of white sugar in 32 oz. of water. This mix can help extend the life of your blooms.

These steps can help your flowers stay vibrant and fresh for longer!
